open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear all,

I have a mesh (.mesh) that I generated in the DHI MIKE mesh generator. I'd like to use telemac with the same mesh and so wanted to import the mesh into Blue Kenue to save as a .slf file and define boundary conditions etc.

I believe it should be relitively straightforward to convert from the MIKE .mesh format to .t3s using Matlab, but I thought I'd ask if anyone had already written a suitable script to save me the time of writing one myself!

The latest version of Blue Kenue allows you to import the DHI .mesh file directly. I can't release it to the general public but if you send me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. I'll provide you with a link.

You can also extract the points from the mesh to xyz format and use them as hard points when you create a mesh i Blue Kenue.

Yes you can do this and the nodes will be the same but
there is no guarantee that the triangulation will
generate the same elements.

Even though if this post is already very old I thought to give it a shot. You mentioned that Blue Kenue allows you to import mesh data from DHI with a specific version.
Unfortunately I am not able to import a DHI mesh to the current Blue Kenue version and wonder if the version you mentioned was ever released.

Which version of Blue Kenue are you trying? If there is a problem with 3.12.7-alpha then please pass me a small mesh that you're trying to import and I'll take a quick look.
