Dear all

I just wondered if there were any plans to add an import format from netcdf to BlueKenue in the future? There is so much model output in this format, I have found them useful in preparation of boundary files or bathymetry for input to telemac models.
I know there are many viewers and utilities available for netcdf - but a direct import to Bluekenue would be really useful??

Cheers
John

Hi John,

Useful, yes indeed!

Native NetCDF support in BlueKenue has been on my TODO list for years. Unfortunately we've never been able to secure funding for this task.

We use GlobalMapper or GDAL to convert files to formats that BlueKenue can read.

Cheers... Martin

Hi Martin

Having looked at your suggestions more closely, there is also a useful set of tools called FWtools at fwtools.maptools.org/ which integrates OpenEV, GDAL, MapServer, PROJ.4 and OGDI. As an opensource product with binaries available for windows as well as several linux flavours, it will be useful.

Thanks for your help.
