TOPIC: U V velocity columns in extracted data

Hi, I extracted UV velocity data from the result - slf files. I see that at each coordinate there are two columns, namely Value and Direction. Which represents U velocity and V velocity repectively? Thanks!

Hi,

U and V are the Cartesian components of the velocities (respectively oriented towards East and North).
Value (norm of the current vector) and Direction accounts for a polar representation of the vector.
