Hello,
I have to create a wider mesh, so I think that my outline is composed of a very large number of points, is there a way to decrease the number of points on bluekenue or increase the mesh width.
Thank you

Hi
You could resample the outline.
Or you could tick the option resample outline in the mesh generator dialog box...

Dear Coulet,

i have problems with meshing density,

i created a mesh of 50m résolution and 5m résolution for density area, the only problem now is that in some platforms, some nodes are not take them, it's define like the picture below.

Can you help me?

Regard.

That is strange. What if you narrow down your outline to your problem area and regenerate the mesh and see whether the problem is gone. Can you share how long it take you to generate the over 5 mill nodes mesh in BlueKenue? Thanks

Mesh generated in 8133.000000 sec (about of 2 hours)

I regenerate by disabling the resampling outline, but it's the same thing.
I don't know if it is correct to generate all the mesh with a resolution of 5m, I think, it will take a lot of time when I will run the TELEMAC modeling.
Regard.

Hi
The mesh resolution should be adapted to what you want to represent in your model.
The power of unstructured grid is to allow very easily some local refinement in a large model and by consequence avoid the high resolution mesh where it's not important.
But create a mesh is not easy and it takes time to well build the different parameters required.
In your mesh, the result looks like a problem in the density definition on the outline...
If you disable "resample outline" you should normally generate a mesh where all nodes of the outline are mesh nodes...
Take time to well read the Blue Kenue manual
And try to also practice with the baxter tutorial to well understand how it works
regards
Christophe
