Hello everyone!
I am a gaia novice and I have some questions to ask you about the coupling of gaia and telemac3d. It is how to specify a continuous discharge source within the domain, and the flow rate of the source can be specified, and the sediment defined by gaia can also be mixed in the source, and the sediment concentration can be specified, as I added the two attached drawings, respectively, part of the t3d and gaia steering file.
In short, I just want to add specific information about the sediment in a fixed release point. I don't know if this can be done. I hope someone can give me some help.
Best regard!

Hey Xinjie,

If I understand your question correctly, that should be a straight forward SOURCE implementation. Between brackets is the shape of each variable in the where NSOURCE is the number of source points you have and NSED the number of sediment classes.

In your T3D.cas you can set
- ABSCISSAE OF SOURCES : / X-coordinate [NSOURCE]
- ORDINATES OF SOURCES : / Y-coordinate [NSOURCE]
- ELEVATIONS OF SOURCES : / Z-coordinate [NSOURCE]
- WATER DISCHARGE OF SOURCES : / [m3/s] [NSOURCE]
- Optional: SOURCES FILE

In your GAIA.cas you can set:
- SUSPENDED SEDIMENTS CONCENTRATION VALUES AT THE SOURCES : / g per l [NSOURCE, NSED]

Should that work for you?

Hijurjendejong!
Your suggestion seems to work well. I'll give it a try. Thank you!
Best regard again!

Does your flow model run without errors without the coupling to GAIA? If I read the T2D steering file correctly, you are trying to run a model with a 5m/s current at the location of the discharge and a 10s time step. I would be surprised if that is stable.

Hi mafknaapen,
I am very sorry that I tried to upload several times but failed, because the file is too large. Even after compression, it still can't be uploaded.
