Hello Telemac Community,

I am currently working on a project involving a large study area where I have to use geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) for modeling purposes in Telemac. However, for post-processing and analysis, I need the output data in Cartesian coordinates (X, Y).

I'm facing challenges in configuring Telemac to output results directly in Cartesian coordinates. I understand that Telemac typically outputs data in the coordinate system used for the model setup, which in my case is geographic coordinates. Due to the large size of my study area, using geographic coordinates for the model is essential.

Here are my specific questions:

Is there a way to configure Telemac to output results in Cartesian coordinates despite using geographic coordinates for modeling?
If direct output in Cartesian coordinates is not possible within Telemac, what would be the recommended approach to convert the output from geographic to Cartesian coordinates accurately?
Are there any specific settings or keywords in Telemac that I need to use to facilitate this conversion?
Any guidance, tips, or relevant experiences shared would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has scripts or tools that they have used for similar purposes, I would be very interested in learning more about them.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!

Best regards,
[mnxhu]

Hello mnxhu,

Look at the keyword RESULT FILE IN LONGITUDE-LATITUDE (= NO) in the manuals,

Hope this helps,
