Dear Community

My Hard disk is almost full...I need to store the results file in an external hard disk or on intranet.
for example, the full path to my external disk is:
/media/mouradb/TOSHIBA2To/0/r2d/tpxo9_mars2022_1mn_5665.slf
This dose not work ...it seem that the file must be stored in the folder containing the cas file or in a sub folder of it !
I'm right? I lack something?
Be sure that any suggestion/remark will be appreciated
Regards

Mourad

Hi
First of all, you should understand how Telemac works. When you run a simulation, a temporary directory is used to store all the file required to run the simulation. The result is also generated in this temporary directory and filled all along the simulation. At the end of the simulation, the result is copied with the given result name, relatively to the palce you run the simulation and the temporary is erased.
So specify a location on an external disk is possible but this doesn't change the problem of the temporary storage...
You could also execute Telemac on the temporary storage but then you could slow down your computation as access to external drive are slower...

Christophe

Thanks Dear M. Coulet,
Even the fact that I already know how telemac work (cores related log and r2d...assembling ...), your answer will be for interest for new users.

Now we are facing some problems with hdf5 and med. We have re-compiled a minimalist version of hdf5 (1.10.3) and of course recompiled med 4.1.1 with it.
compile_telemac.py goes for long run but crashes when building the Python API (see the attached).

Please could you give any tips to go straith to "work is done"
Thanks in advance
