Thank you for taking the time to test BK 3.12.13-alpha. I appreciate you doing that!

Co-incidentally, the mesh generator was identified to have 5 faults by Martin Serrer (see the CHyMS Blue Kenue Community ticket number 17 if interested). The last fault identified an issue with a root cause that line values are always zero.

Internally, I suspect that your new issue and that meshing issue are, in fact, the same underlying fault. And I've been working for the past 10 years to move Blue Kenue to a new (internal) way of doing things. This fault is a part of that long term work and now I need to directly address this large change.

For this past week I've been working on sorting this large change out. Therefore, the next alpha of BK may have faults in any of the following areas: 2D Lines, 3D Lines, Cross Sections, Segments, GEN1D Segments, EC OneD Segments, 2D Points, 3D Points, Nodes, GEN1D Nodes, EnSim Networks, Hydro Networks, EC OneD Networks, etc.

So, as you might imagine, I'm taking my time and doing my best to be careful with this large internal change... and testing as much as I can with the time I have available.

Kindly,
Alan

I can't imagine the complexity of your work, thank you for that!

I read the ticket #17 and the related post on the forum.

I don't know if this can help you, but I dig a bit more, and it appears that when I import a Shapefile, the lines are all black (meaning that for BlueKenue all the polygons have the same value). So the issue is not related to the Map Object feature, as I initially thought.

Many thanks,
Amalvir

Looks like my internal changes can now successfully create an integer attribute with a default value on the lines. This is exactly what I would expect to happen; which is great.

Loading a WorkSpace file containing a shape file continues to display the lines in black. However, this is because "Monochrome" is checked.

My dev version of Blue Kenue now displays the shape file's colours correctly.

A lot has changed in the last week and there may be a few things that I've missed fixing. However, I'm going to start creating a new alpha version and share it with everyone tomorrow (26 April 2024).

Kindly,
Alan

> Finally, do you confirm that ArcINFO ASCII grid are now imported with a shift of -Cellsize/2 automatically or not?

As of BK 3.12.6-alpha, see: #40908, the fault is believed to be fixed.

Kindly,
Alan
