TOPIC: COUPLING PERIOD FOR GAIA?

COUPLING PERIOD FOR GAIA? 2 years 9 months ago #38974

Hi,

Currently, the telemac2d/3d.dico provide the COUPLING PERIOD FOR SISYPHE keyword that seems to fully couple hydrodynamics and morphodynamics with SISYPHE. The actual Gaia manual says that Gaia is decoupled (so that would be opposed to SISYPHE), but I cannot find a keyword such as COUPLING PERIOD FOR GAIA, which would leverage modification of coupling behavior/period.

Is there another keyword for Gaia that manages the COUPLING PERIOD (as described in sec. 5.1.2 in the Gaia manual)?

If not, is it planned to implement a COUPLING PERIOD FOR GAIA keyword in future releases?

Any feedback or help would be great.

Thanks,
Sebastian

Dear Sebastian,

so far there is no coupling period implemented in Gaia, so Gaia is called from telemac every hydrodynamic time step. We are still in the discussion process of this topic. Probably there will be a coupling period for gaia in the future versions.
For the current version I have a coupling period implemented as work around for bedload. If you are interested in the work around, please send me an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will send you back the fortran files.
