Hi,

The area I am trying to model with Telemac2D is almost at the intersection between UTM zones 29 and 30. I converted the bathymetric data from lat-long reference to their respective UTM zone using BK, but then I couldn't have both opened on the same 2D windows in BK because they have different UTM zones. I solved the problem converting both areas into the same UTM zone, but I guess this adds an error to the location of the points... Is this a correct procedure to deal with areas that are nearby the intersection of different UTM zones or there is a better way to proceed?

Thanks,

Alberto

Hi Alberto,

We normally choose the zone that contains the largest part of the study area.
Alternatively you could use a different projection such as Albers or Lambert.
