Condin File with FREE SURFACE from BlueKenue? 11 years 9 months ago #5069

I have two pools starting at different elevations, so I set my initial Free Surfaces using BlueKenue, but it seems like since my Initial Condition = 'Particular', I need to set the initial depths H in the CONDIN file. If my file is Particular, is the CONDIN the only way I can set my initial water surface or depth? Is there a way to have the CONDIN file reference the BOTTOM and FREE SURFACE information in the Selafin file from BlueKenue?
Thanks!

Hi
For this particular use, you shouldn't select initial condition = 'particular' but you should rather use the previous computational file in which you give the selafin file generated with BK

Hope this helps

A hotstart is a good approach - thank you.
I am curious, though. In BlueKenue I can use the calculator to create WATER DEPTH as an slf variable by subtracting FREE SURFACE - BOTTOM. Is there really no way for Telemac to read the WATER DEPTH in the .slf file as an initial condition for H?
Cheers, Jon
