Hello,
My problem is this, see attached PDF

I created three canals (with the module "Mesher Channel T3"). At the junction, I created a mesh with "T3 Mesh GENERATOR".

To generate the "T3 Mesh ...", I proceeded as follows:
1 - Search hard points (dot surrounded by a red circle)
2 - Define a contour that passes through all the hard points
3 - I generated a mesh

After several tries, I always get the same problems (dot surrounded by a blue circle).

My question is:
Is there a solution for the mesh passes through only hard points of the contour?

Please post your t3m file and I'll have a look at it.
(Also attach the missing pdf)

Hi Laurent,

You have specified a number of conflicting constraints and without stepping through each step in detail it's hard for me to tell you specifically what the problem is.

Here however are a few points for consideration.

1. Hard points are not used if they are mathematically OUTSIDE of the outline.
Because of round-off error some of your hard points may ignored.

2. If a hard point has a non-zero "Z" value that value is taken as the local density when creating interior nodes. You have Z values that range from 0 to 4.

3. However, when the outline is resampled according to the "density object", or the "default edge length" as in your case, (the first step in the meshing process), the "local density" from hard points is not considered. Likewise the proximity of hard nodes are also not considered. This is a current limitation of the mesher that I hope to resolve as soon as I get some funding.

The second method is the correct way to generate this mesh.

I have also had problems posting files on the forum. There are only certain file types that may be posted. It's best to put your files in a zip archive and post that.

Hope this helps... Martin
