Hello

Is it possible to create a wind rose only with wind data in blue kenue. My data is txt file with direction and force. the data is given every 3 hours for 25 years. My question looks stupid but I have no way to create wind rose. I can do statistics with the data but I don't find any software to create the windrose.

Thanks a lot

Format your data into a vector timeseries (ts2 or ts4) file.
Here is an short example of a ts2 file...
Note: the :DataDefinition keyword.
Note: directions are in compass degrees.

:FileType ts2 ASCII EnSim 1.0

1. Load this file into Blue Kenue.
2. Right click on the timeseries object to bring up the context menu and select "Extract Velocity Rose"
3. Choose the appropriate parameters (direction and speed bin size etc.)
4. Drag the resulting velocity rose into a Polar View to visualize.
5. This new object can be saved to an ASCII "vr1" file for further processing.

Hope this helps... Martin

hello

I have two more question :

1) when I create the velocity rose,I right click and show the table. But I don't find how to copy this table or copy the data inside. Is there a way to do it?

2) when I do compute distribution with the timeseries, I can't select the interval of the polygon (in propriety). Is there a way to modify this

Thanks a lot, blue kenue is a very poweful tool ! you did a very good job !

1. There is currently no way to select/copy the table. You'll have to save it to a file and open it with excel.

2. For now there is no GUI for controlling how a distribution is calculated, I'm afraid you're stuck with 20 bins.

Thanks, I'm glad you like Blue Kenue...
