The next alpha after 26 Jan 2024 will have a new line and polygon resampling method called "Segment Splitting". It can be used to break long segments into shorter pieces.

Here's an example of it in action where the length and area of the new resampled polygon are both the same as the original polygon. The original polygon is shown with black points and the new resample points are the 7 red ones.

I forgot to mention in the last post...

The left mesh contains a very small triangle, whereas the right mesh does not. This may be one (new) way to avoid over constrained triangles.
