Hello everyone,
I have a few questions about the mesh refinement in BlueKenue software. I have set a density domain but the resulting mesh is not densified within the region. How do I set the density of my sub-domain ? And how to obtain a mesh from dense to sparse like figure03?Thanks in advance!

Hello,

The density is set by the attribute of the line.
You can change it by right lick on the line, select "Edit" and set the value in meters.
To smooth the transition, try to decrease (e.g. 1.05) the "Edge Growth Ratio" (see the "Properties" of your newT3Mesh.

Hope it helps,
Luc

Hello everyone,

Questions about how to provide density values to the mesher come up very regularly in this forum.

Pages 138 to 145 of the Blue Kenue manual provide details on how the mesher works. There is a lot of information packed into those 7 pages.
The inputs are VERY flexible. (perhaps too flexible) ;-)
May I suggest that 5 minutes of careful study will reveal all.

On the other hand if the writing is not clear, we welcome suggestions on how
to clarify this topic.

Regards... Martin

Thanks Martin

Section 2.2.3.1 "Using the T3 Mesh Generator" starts on page 117 (140 of 234) if you are using the Blue Kenue 3.12.2-alpha Reference Manual from June 2021.

Kindly,
Alan
