Good morning at all,
I'm generating the mesh for a port, I would like to use an average mesh length of about 80m.
However, with this mesh size some quays are lost.
How could I show these docks without cooling the mesh? The important thing for me is that it does not flow through them.
best regards
Ruben

Good morning,

i have the same problem, but i think you must create a density area with a smaller average mesh length.

i created a mesh of 50m résolution and 5m résolution for density area, the only problem now is that in some platforms, some nodes are not take them, it's define like the picture below.

Regard.

Hi Yasmina,
You should have the "Resample Outline" option turned on.

thank you for your response.

the problem is that i created my density area in QGIS and it's don't run like this, so i created a area density with closed line drawed in bluekenue, and now i have a perfect mesh with resolution 50m and resolution 5m in the area density.

Thank you so much for your help.
Best Regard.

Hi McRove,
You should define an area of higher density around your quays.

Hi serrer,
i did a mesh that has a different risolution but i had a lot of nodes.
I would more reduce the number of nodes of my mesh for accellerating my analisys.
I have 7000 nodes and i think that it is more than i can afford.

Sayed this,
there is a method for define an area without flow ?
best regards

Dear Ruben,

You should draw a close line around your port and specify the resolution value.
Take this closed line in your density.
After this the generation mesh will run perfectly.
