Hi
if UBO and VBO are new functions you added to your fortran file, it's logical you had such message.
In this case, you should just add the declaration of the function type at the beginning
VIT, Q, SL and TR are not declared in bord but they are declared in interface_telemac2d.

Hello I followed your instructions to modify bord.f and the other subroutines but I still get an error message.
I attach my files if somebody could help me to find a solution.

Hi Sébastien,

Thank you for this clear message.
However, I am having an issue with the fortran and the liquid boundary file.

Basically, the model runs however, I see that the liquid boundary is not acting like it is suppose to. After a while the Gulf just stops filling with water as it is suppose to do.

Please find attached all the files needed.
Hope you can help with that.

Thank you and have a good day.
Best Regards,
Mehdi

Hello Mehdi,

We do not assist old releases, v7p2 is at least 4 years old.
We only assist the official last tag v8p2r1 and trunk releases.
So please update your model and see if the problem still occurs.

Anyway, you have added personal Fortran modifications in a few subroutines, they may be suspicious.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

Hello.
I have been working on this issue for some time, but my problem has not been solved yet. I set up the files as Sébastien said. When I put Z = SL(IFRLIQ,N) instead of Z = SL(IFRLIQ,K), it seems to read, but after a while, the velocity goes from 1 to 7 m/s. (Figure 1).
When I put it on itself(K), it doesn't read my file. I will send the files.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me.
Thanks
sina

Dear all,

I'm struggling with the same topic and it seems over the last versions of OT some changes have been made to the fortran file bord.f. Is that correct?
I'm running telemac v8p3.

I've looked up the lines Sebastian mentioned and found that Z = SL(IFRLIQ,N) is already adapted.
I have to mention I have no experience in FORTRAN whatsoever.

I've set up a LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE as described in the user manual. Having a time series for the variables SL, U & V. My model is a marine domain having one liquid boundary where I try to impose prescribed forcing by the mentioned variables over a set of points along the liquid boundary. I've used the global node numbers in brackets after the variables, as Sebastian recommended.

When starting the computation it stops immediately, saying SL: More prescribed Elevations are required in the parameter file.
For me, it seems telemac reads the file but can't handle the information of the points.

Any advise what an how to adapt would be much appreciated. I've attached a picture of the terminal error message and my .lbf file as well as my steering file.

Best regards
Tim

Hi
As indicate in the error message, even it's not used for the computation, you need to have the keyword PRESCRIBED ELEVATIONS with a dummy value in your steering file...

Hi Christoph,

thank you very much for the quick reply. Giving the prescribed elevation made the difference.
The simulation runs. Hope for reasonable results;)

Cheers

Spatial and temporal varying boundary conditions two boundaries 4 months 2 weeks ago #43816

Hi everyone,

I got another question, I got a model that I want to use two time varying boundaries, it is an river-sea area, and upstream with a time varying discharge, downstream with a Spatial and temporal varying water boundaries(with different water level series at boundary points).

I have already tried to write like in the picture, downstream boundary is OK, but it's not working, there is no discharge at upstream.

hope to find the solution^^

Marc
