Hello Chi-Tuan,
I noticed many weeks ago considering the control section out put file that the outflow is equal to the total inflow by the end of the simulation when I ignore the decimal part of the numbers. I would like to know if this makes sens to you ?
In another hand I am still wondering how necessary it is to run the steady state as first step of my work. Is it wrong to directly start with unsteady simulation ??

I wouldn't say it's "wrong", but if you are using any post-processing tools that look for the minimum or maximum value across the simulation time frame, the unsteady beginning may falsify results. As well, starting multiple scenarios from one same restart file ensures consistency. But strictly speaking, no, it is not necessary to start in unsteady.

Is it correct to use the output of the last time step as initial condition for the unsteady simulation if it is not in hotstart ?? Regards, Marleine

You can try it (see TELEMAC-2D user manual in section just after control sections). Hope this helps, Chi-Tuan
