Hello, I want to model the hydrodynamics of the Persian Gulf.
I considered the wind variable in time and place from the example wind_txy
While reading the wind file, I encounter the following error.
I have attached the wind file.
Thank you for guiding me

Hello Mammad,
The wind file is not provided in attachments.
Make sure to send it or provide more details about your configuration.

Hello Jtravert
Thank you for your reply
This problem was solved by inserting the keyword FREE FORMAT FOR ATMOSPHERIC DATA FILE = YES in the cas file.
Now I want to model the release of oil pollution in my domain but it didn't spread.
I attached my cas file. I would be grateful if you could guide me.

File Attachment:

File Name: t2d_oil_spillPG.cas
File Size: 6 KB

Hello,

I am not a specialist of oilspill feature. Anyway, it would be interesting to upload the OIL SPILL STEERING FILE and the FORTRAN FILE.

You can proceed step by step:
- start from your hydrodynamics model,
- add the set-up from telemac2d/riv_art example. If the spreading is OK, change the parameters one after another.

You can also test your oil spill setup from riv_art hydrodynamics setup and see if the speading is OK or not.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

Hello
I want to model the oil spill in the Persian Gulf, so far I have been able to model the hydrodynamics of the region
I used the riv_art example to oil spill, but the oil does not spread in the domain.
I have attached the necessary files. Thank you for your help.
If you need another file, tell me and I will send it
thanks.

Hello,

How can you say the oil does not spread in the domain. Which file do you use and what tool to visualise?

Anyway, have you tried to use another spreading model (e.g. 2 rather than 1)?

hello
thank you for you reply
I ran using the two files that i had attached in the previous message and viewed the result in the Blue Kenue software but unfortunately no oil was distributed in the domain.
I also tried with spreading model= 2 no result
thanks.
